Clue #4 - Final Clue!


Now you will get to choose how your quilt goes together.

Option 1: Table Topper
Finished size: 25" x 25"

From your medium #2 fabric, cut 12 1½" x 9½" strips, these will be your sashing strips.

From your medium #1 fabric, cut 9 1½" x 1½" squares, these will be your setting squares.

From your border fabric, cut 2 21½" x 2½" strips, and 2 25½" x 2½" strips.

Assemble two rows using two blocks and three sashing strips each, as shown.

Assemble three rows using two sashing strips and three setting squares each, as shown.

Assemble the center of your quilt top with the rows you constructed, as shown.

Finally, add your borders. Put the two side borders on first, then the top and bottom borders, as shown.

Layer your quilt top with batting and backing, quilt as desired. Bind to finish.


Option 2: Table Runner
Finished size: 15" x 45"

From your medium #2 fabric, cut 13 1½" x 9½" strips, these will be your sashing strips.

From your medium #1 fabric, cut 10 1½" x 1½" squares, these will be your setting squares.

From your border fabric, cut 2 11½" x 2½" strips, and 2 45½" x 2½" strips (these will need to be pieced).

Assemble one row using all four blocks and five sashing strips, as shown.

Assemble two rows using four sashing strips and five setting squares each, as shown.

Assemble the center of your table runner top with the rows you constructed, as shown.

Finally, add your borders. Put the two side borders on first, then the top and bottom borders, as shown.

Layer your quilt top with batting and backing, quilt as desired. Bind to finish.
