Mystery Quilt #2

This mystery quilt was designed to be used with nickels - 5" x 5" squares of cotton quilting fabric. If you've been involved with the Spring Nickels Swap on The Quilting Bee, then you are probably overflowing with nickels! Use them in this project to make a nice Springtime wall hanging, or even a nice baby quilt.

This project can be made scrappy or it can be coordinated if you don't care for the scrappy look. The fabric requirements are given both as yardage and as a count of how many nickels you will need so you can choose which look you want to make.

It is best if you can divide your nickels/fabric into piles of lights and darks, but if that just isn't a possibility then look for pairs of nickels that are high-contrast... otherwise the design of the blocks will be lost as the colors blend together. (Unless this is a look you're trying to achieve LOL!)
